Preventing all forms of violence leading to or resulting from children going missing, and promoting children’s right to freedom from violence
Financial Support for Third Parties

This is a call for proposals for EU member organisations of Missing Children Europe’s network.
The call is co-financed by the European Commission and focuses on the prevention of all forms of violence and abuse that can lead to, or result from, children going missing, as well as on promoting children’s right to freedom from violence.
An estimated one billion children worldwide experience violence every year, and according to a study published by the European Commission in 2013, approximately 250,000 children are reported missing annually in the EU. The causes and effects that link violence and children going missing are wide-ranging and include grooming, trafficking, sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, domestic violence, and forced labour.
As a result, the 116000 hotlines face sustained and growing pressure in responding to cases of missing children and protecting children and families across Europe, often while operating under financial constraints. Missing Children Europe recogniSes that its member organisations, the 116000 hotlines, and the ultimate beneficiaries they serve (children, young people, and families) are at the heart of its network.
Closing date of call: 21 March 2026
Online Information Session: 21 February 2026
