What will the money raised be used for?

Help us protect missing children from Ukraine!

The money raised by the Brussels Marathon 2022 will support the Ukrainian 116000 helpdesk set up by Missing children Europe, which contributes to continuing the search for missing children from Ukraine in the time of war.

The war on Ukraine has led to more than 6 million Ukrainians, mainly women and children seeking refuge abroad, putting them at risk of separation and going missing.

Since the beginning of the war, our Ukrainian member NGO Magnolia has reported over 2000 cases of missing children, including several cross-border cases. Unfortunately, we expect the number of missing children from Ukraine in the EU to rise quickly. Therefore Missing Children Europe has launched the 116000 helpdesk that aims to support the national hotlines in Ukraine and at Ukraine’s borders and the website that provides information on how to report a missing child from Ukraine, posters of Ukrainian children currently reported missing, as well as resources to support missing children and their families fleeing Ukraine.
