About the Network

Our network of missing children hotlines is operated by national organisations in 31 countries across Europe. Children and families calling the European hotline receive free and immediate emotional, psychological, social, legal and administrative support 24 / 7.

FAQs

Call the hotline if you are a:

  • child who is missing from home / care or a child who is thinking of leaving home / care
  • parent or carer of a missing child
  • child, young person, or adult who has information about a missing child

Make a report to the police if you know of a child who has gone missing. This can be done by anybody, not just the parents or carers. You may also call the 116 000 hotline for support, advice, and to share valuable information about a missing child.

Professionally trained Hotline Operators.

The 116 000 number works in 32 countries in Europe. You can find the list of countries here.

Always contact your national police to report a missing child or to share information relating to a missing child.

Other national hotlines or children’s organisations are available in your country, you can find this online.

If you know about a missing child or if you know of a child at risk of going missing, the 116 000 hotline will be able to support you.

You will be asked for details related to the missing child and their circumstances.

Yoga Fundraiser in support of Missing Children Europe

In June 2024,  together with Karma Village, we successfully organised our first Yoga Fundraiser in support of Missing Children Europe.

In July, Karma Village is organising more yoga events with the possibility to support Missing Children Europe. Find out the dates below:

The best part? It’s donation-based! Pay what feels right for you, knowing that all proceeds go towards supporting Missing Children Europe. You can contribute during the event itself. Suggested donation: 10EUR per class, 30EUR per week or 50 EUR open pass for all summer pop up studio.

What will the money raised be used for?

All money collected will go towards supporting missing children via the European network of 116000 hotlines.

Help us raise funds to continue the support and coordination of the European network of 116 000 hotlines and the implementation of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), an essential tool to guarantee quality service for all hotlines across Europe.

Each donation of 25EUR will help us maintain a monthly CRM license for one hotline. This allows us to keep track of details and updates on missing children cases and ease cross-border cooperation between hotlines operating in different countries, to better prevent and efficiently find missing children whilst support their families.
