The GUARD-UP Forum is an online space dedicated to guardians of unaccompanied migrant children, designed to foster dialogue, the sharing of experiences, and mutual support among child protection professionals.

The forum is part of the European GUARD-UP project, in which Lai-momo is a partner, and was created with the aim of strengthening the European network of guardians by promoting knowledge exchange, collaboration, and shared growth.

Why join

  • To connect with guardians from Greece, Italy, Poland, Cyprus, Croatia, and Belgium
  • To share experiences, challenges, and solutions
  • To find support and practical resources for your daily work

How it works – Join in 3 simple steps

  • Register with a username (no personal information is required)
  • Start discussions in a safe, moderated environment
  • Learn and share using training materials, national action plans, and other tools

Within the forum, the Guidelines for Use and the Content Moderation Policy are already available, ensuring a collaborative and respectful environment for everyone.

In addition, new materials produced within the framework of the project are now available in the “Materials” section of the website:

  • the National Action Plans in the partner countries (Greece, Italy, Poland, Cyprus, Croatia, Belgium);
  • an in-depth mapping of guardianship systems in the six partner countries, identifying critical issues and areas for improvement based on the EGN PAS-tool developed by Nidos and its partners;
  • the Guide to Good Practices, which brings together significant experiences and innovative approaches emerging from guardianship systems across the different countries.

The GUARD-UP project thus continues its commitment to strengthening guardianship systems in Europe, promoting collaboration, knowledge exchange, and support among guardians, professionals, and stakeholders.
