Runaway children in alternative care in Finland (by Sami isoniemi)

In his Master´s thesis, Isoniemi conducted research into the personal history of runaways through the National Database of Police in Finland. On average, they are considered as suspects in an average of 5 criminal reports (max 56 per person) and reported as runaways on average 5,9 times (max 46 per person), before turning eighteen. Preliminary results of the runaway figures from the 2013-2014 reports will be presented.
