Missing Children Europe appoints Liuska Sanna as Secretary General
Missing Children Europe is delighted to announce the appointment of Liuska Sanna to the post of Secretary General, effective from February 15th.
Liuska joins Missing Children Europe from the End Female Genital Mutilation European Network (End FGM) where she was the Director since 2015 and led the strategic development and implementation of policies, programmes and organisational growth and capacity building. Liuska has worked for 17 years in the health rights sector within European and International networks on gender and youth-related initiatives and policies. More recently she was Programme Manager at the European Patient’s Forum where she supervised the portfolio of European and other projects to advance the rights of patients with chronic diseases. Liuska holds a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature – English, French and Russian.
“Thanks to her vast experience and commitment working in the NGO sector, we are very confident that Liuska will represent the organisation and members well and will continue to develop and take Missing Children Europe’s vision and mission further”, says Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, President of Missing Children Europe and UN Special Rapporteur on the sale and sexual exploitation of children.
Taking over from Delphine Moralis, now Secretary General of Terres des Hommes, Liuska will lead the day-to-day management of the organisation, reporting to the Board of Directors and working closely with the President of the organisation. She will further represent the members of Missing Children Europe and continue to develop and build on Missing Children Europe’s successes. Liuska can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
