Quickscan on the right of the child to be heard in the European Union
This is a quickscan of all 28 EU Member States on the right of the child to be heard in national legal systems. Information is clustered per country and put to a check with experts in each legal system separately.
Investigated topics include (1) general obligations regarding the right to be heard, (2) any rules on minimum age, (3) any rules on who hears the child, (4) any specific rules on hearing the child in abduction cases, (5) any cross-border elements specific to Brussels IIbis cases, and (6) any other relevant information. Legal sources are included, as well as sources where information was consulted from. The amount of information varies depending on what could be found in sources the researcher was able to consult, depending on constraints in time, language and availability of documents.
