Disappearing, departing, running away. A surfeit of children in Europe (by Anon)

Study carried out in Belgium, France, Spain and Switzerland on the disappearances of unaccompanied foreign minors placed in institutions. This publication seeks to contribute ways of improving the care of unaccompanied foreign minors arriving in European countries. This investigation reveals that there are some mechanisms of preventing disappearances in place and that they are functioning well. They are adapted to the specific needs of unaccompanied foreign minors, and prevent risks in proportion to the degree of vulnerability of each child.
